Our public school district, El Campo Independent School District strives to achieve the highest academic standards. Currently 2 of the 5 schools have achieved “Recognized” status and the district boasts an overall Academically Acceptable rating. The district offers a Gifted and Talented Program and also allows dual enrollment in some high school and college courses. With an average graduating class of 250 and 290 teachers, the district supports a total student enrollment of 3,472. Within the district, the average SAT Score is 953 and the average ACT score is 18.
Additionally, El Campo is home to private preschool through 8th grade programs that complement El Campo's public school system. St Philip Catholic School is a private co-ed elementary and middle school and is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department and recognized by the Texas Education Agency.

The Northside Center is a public/private venture dedicated to raising the level of education for all citizens of El Campo. The Northside Center offers continuing education courses, workforce development training, and tutoring assistance. Distance learning and undergraduate programs are also available at Northside Center.
